The Highwood Parks and Recreation Department oversees the scheduling and programming of events in conjunction with community organizations. Highwood residents are able to take advantage of a variety of classes and programs offered through these organizations.

Students have opportunities to work across broad demographics of patients in different settings, including hospitals that care for the underserved, the federal health system that provides medical care to veterans and U.S. military personnel, and private clinics and practices.
